Cradle of Filth（污秽摇篮/恶灵天皇）是由主唱丹尼·费尔斯领衔所组成的黑金属乐团，1991年成立于英国。由于他们的装扮几乎都是吸血鬼的模样，所以有人称之为吸血鬼派黑金属。丹尼·费尔斯利用特有尖高音式的黑腔搭配交响弦乐与阴暗气氛的背景，唱出高文学素质的歌词，影响了许多后进黑金属乐团，包括台湾的闪灵乐团主唱Freddy唱腔也有类似丹尼·费尔斯的唱法。

特质

成立于1992年，来自英国的Colchester，在乐风上，他们受到了一些老团如: Celtic Frost、 Bathory、Diamanda Galas和Mercyful Fate等的影响，同时也具备了一些大文豪如拜伦、雪莱等同样的思想悲观而厌世。这些都可以在他们的音乐中找到。在当时，由斯堪地那维亚半岛所带领的Black Metal潮流正风起云涌，许多新进团体纷纷成立，而音乐走向也取法挪威派 的黑金属，而这样的结果，造成了彼此音乐的重叠性，往往听了一个团就不用听其他的团，Cradle Of Filth确也走出了自己的风格，他们自称：“The Only True English Black Metal Band”（唯一真正的英国黑金属乐团）。因此有人称为“吸血金属”

CradleOfFilth的第3作"Dusk And Her Embrace"可说是史上最经典的Symphonic Gothic Black Metal专辑，它成功地将英国流传已久的歌德文化与北欧的黑金属元素结合在一起，造就出邪恶、仇恨、浪漫与黑暗的气氛，有别于北欧的正统黑金属风格。主唱Dani为CradleOfFilth的灵魂人物，他拥有所有黑金属主唱之中最为尖锐的音调，宛如吸血鬼般的嘶吼咆啸，既阴森又恐怖!如果将此专辑视为一张恐怖片电影配乐也颇洽当，首曲"Humana Inspired To Nightmare"以气氛阴森的交响乐作为前导，犹如吸血鬼即将破棺而出!紧接着"Heaven Torn Asunder"以棺木开启的音效为起始，随后来自地狱般的惨叫正是吸血鬼的复仇之音，加上低沉的哥德式男女吟唱与飘邈的美声，更添黑暗之美!很少有专辑能够真正做到既优美又残暴的结合，而"Dusk And Her Embrace"确实已作到这点，Cradle Of Filth不愧是金属哥特乐队的王者。

歌词中出现过的另一个人物是吉尔斯·德·莱斯（Gilles de Rais）（1404年9月10日—1444年10月26日），欧洲历史上著名的黑巫师。英法百年战争时期他是贞德的战友，曾被誉为民族英雄。但贞德被俘以后，男爵受到极大的精神打击，并退隐于马什库勒和蒂福日的领地埋头研究炼金术。他希望借血来发现点金术的秘密，大约把300名以上的儿童折磨致死，后亦因此被施以火刑。他也是西方童话传说中的反派角色“蓝胡子”的现实原型之一。

gilles对贞德的仰慕并非空穴来风，并肩作战之时贞德不足19岁而gilles也不足25岁，gilles非常仰慕贞德的品格，作为一名深明政治腐败的贵族军官也给予她不少建议甚至不止一次救过贞德的命。研究炼金术是因为他受蛊惑以为借此能复活死人，后来他被判决时甚至主动要求运用当时最痛苦最残酷的火刑 .
